📦ONCE Plugin Manager (OPM)
The Once Plugin Manager (OPM) is a critical piece of the ONCE ecosystem facilitating the discovery, installation, and management of community plugins.
OPM takes inspiration from popular package managers and "app stores" and serves as the medium with which plugin developers and users interact.
OPM can be thought of as the NPM / Shopify App Store / iOS App Store of the ONCE ecosystem. However, contrast to the web2 analogies, OPM is built with core web3 tenents that make it a sustainable force for the ONCE ecosystem:
Fees are processed automatically at the protocol level via smart contracts with no intermediary
The OPM directory is managed in a decentralized manner via the ONCE DAO
Trust in Community Plugins is supported via staking mechanisms by $OET token holders
The Fee split (outlined under Community Plugins) can only be modified by ONCE DAO vote
